(Decoding Digital Media in African regions of Conflict)

DDMAC is currently gathering empirical-driven evidence with the goal of helping theorize, define and demonstrate the use, spread, content and agenda-setting role of social media in regions of conflicts in sub-Saharan.

Researchers based at Oslomet University, Africa Studies Center (ASCL) of Leiden University, Utrecht University, Voice4Thought and University of Addis Ababa are currently working on this project, which started in December 2021. DDMAC is penciled in to end in December 2024.
