Mirjam de Bruijn participates in “Trust and Violence in Times of Conflict: Africa and Beyond” workshop

In line with the interests of our project, Mirjam de Bruijn participated in a panel with a presentation titled “Discursive Warfare in Social Media: On-Line spaces of Belonging and of Distrust”, as part of the online workshop “Trust and Violence in Times of Conflict: Africa and Beyond”, which was organized by University of Frankfurt Feb.24-25.

Anthropologists struggled with the question how trust and violence may be two sides of the same coin. Mirjam participated on a panel entitled “how trust is created in the digital sphere and how such trust also informs violence.”
