Mirjam de Bruijn reports on political violence in Chad

In a recent blog on the Voice4Thought platform, Mirjam de Bruijn and Laurens Nijzink write on the violently crushed protests in Chad on “Black Thursday”, 20 October 2022. During this event, youth took to the street to express their dissatisfaction with the interim military council. The event follows on years of political unrest and poverty in Chad, clashes between civilians, rebels, and soldiers and distrust to Chad’s changing, yet established political and military regime.
