DDMAC welcomes PhD student Samba Dialimpa Badji

Samba Dialimpa Badji is the newest member of the DDMAC project as a research fellow. Samba has joined Oslo in early October to start his PhD fellowship at the Department of Journalism and Media Studies of OsloMet university. He will research the role of digital media in the armed conflicts in Ethiopia and Mali, with a focus on disinformation and hate speech.

Samba says: “I am excited to join a multidisciplinary team. In the next months I will be busy finalizing my work plan and my research design with my supervisor. I will be also closely working within MEKK research group at OsloMet university”
